Journalist. Student. Storyteller.
I'm a journalism senior at the University of Oklahoma. I was born and raised in Northeast Oklahoma, spending most of my childhood in Muskogee, OK (yes, I am an Okie from Muskogee). During my time at OU, I have found my passion for telling impactful stories through my student newspaper and my internships at The Oklahoman and News21. My goal following graduation is to continue this passion, hopefully through Oklahoma-based public service journalism driven by human voice and data. More about me, I thoroughly enjoy a good book, cup of coffee or tea, and curling up on my couch. You can also find me traveling and exploring the outdoors as much as possible. Also, I recently married, so you'll notice some of my best bylines still contain my maiden name, Jana Allen.
